Mansion Beach was once the view from Edward F. Searles Mansion, the most notable home on Block Island at the time. The mansion tragically burned down in the 1960s yet the ruins of the once magnificent mansion remain in the parking area of Mansion Beach.
Mansion Beach is a unique beach on Block Island with dark sand, and the waves are always perfect for boogie boarding, skimboarding, and body surfing. Mansion Beach is an excellent beach for families and surf lovers.
From the Block Island Ferry terminal, travel to Corn Neck Road. Continue down Corn Neck Road around 2 miles until you reach Mansion Road on the right. Mansion Road is a long, narrow, bumpy, dirt road. Please drive slowly down Mansion Road and be mindful of bikers, and NO mopeds are allowed down the dirt road. During the summer, the parking lot fills up quickly.
